Mahina Soleil

A different chapter of the same story.
If you've read the story behind Mahina, you'll know it began with an unexpected piece of jade, a kind stranger and a reminder that some things in life are meant to find us.
This colourway tells the same story but through a different feeling.
When I redesigned Mahina, I imagined that same peaceful place during golden hour, when the sun began to set and everything was wrapped in warm golden light.
The soft blush, warm caramel and golden tones reflect that beautiful time of day. The flowing lines still represent the river meeting the ocean, while the peacock-inspired patterns remain as a reminder to trust life's journey and find beauty in the unexpected.
Sometimes all it takes is a change in light to see something differently.
A little design note
One of my favourite things about Mahina is that everyone sees something different.
Some people see flowing rivers, others see peacock-inspired patterns and a few have even told me they see the shape of a uterus.
I never designed it with that intention, but when it was pointed out to me, I couldn't unsee it.
The more I thought about it, the more it felt right.
To me, it became a quiet celebration of femininity. A symbol of life, strength, resilience and the incredible beauty of the female body.
Just like nature, there's beauty in soft curves, flowing lines and the way everything is connected.
Whether you see it or not, I love that Mahina means something a little different to everyone.
With love,
Simona ♡
